NEUROPSYCHOLOGY

VIP Neuropsychological Assessments
Adult Assessments
Please note all assessments are neurodivergent-affirming and clients must be present in Georgia, New Mexico, or any of the PSYPACT states during all sessions (see last paragraph on this page or header at the top for list of states).
For those who are seeking a thorough assessment of brain functioning and/or have suspected neurocognitive issues. Each neuropsychological assessment is tailored to the client's issues, therefore, it is not possible to say which tests will be given (read options below). However, all of them include a biopsychosocial history, records review (medical and psychological), as well as testing for cognitive functioning and mood (& autism/ADHD if needed).
There are two options for the neuropsychological testing:
(1) Full neuropsych
(2) Stepped neuropsych
The Full assessment is exactly as it sounds - you get a full neuropsychological assessment which lasts several days, covers all the main neurocognitive and mental health issues and is priced at $4000. This is for someone who is either referred by their physician for a neuropsych eval or already knows that they want/need the full assessment.
The Stepped neuropsych is in 2-3 steps: the first testing session will include cognitive testing, mood assessment, possible achievement testing, and some screeners (e.g. autism, ADHD). If the results from the first day indicate that further testing is needed, we will then schedule additional testing sessions. In this process, the first step or session is $2500. If the results from the first step indicate testing for autism and/or ADHD is needed, the second day is scheduled but there is no additional charge. However, if after the first day, there is any additional neuropsych testing needed (beyond ADHD/Autism testing), there is an additional $1500 charge. Please email if you have any questions about this process. A detailed report will be provided after the feedback session.
I consider these packages a VIP experience because I provide excellent communication during the process and am also available to my clients for follow up.
Please note that I am a neurodivergent-affirming practitioner. All recommendations and reports reflect this positive, strengths-based approach with emphasis on lived experience taking priority over "professional" expertise.
Please scroll below for more info and see FAQs about insurance. For HIPAA compliance, please contact and/or book solely through my secure email (rs@drrabia.com), not through my website.

If you are always trying to be normal (or neurotypical!), you will never know how amazing you can be.

→ The assessment consists of 3-5 sessions depending on which option you choose and which testing is warranted. The initial session is the intake interview which is usually around an hour. This is followed by the first testing session, which can last up to 2-2.5 hours. In this session, we do the cognitive and mood testing and some screeners. For the Full option, we follow up with a second and/or third day of testing. For the Stepped option, we may or may not have additional days of testing (please note that autism/ADHD testing is included in the initial charge so there is no additional charge). Finally, the last day is the follow-up which is up to 45 minutes, we go over the results and discuss recommendations.
→ As part of these packages, your will gain a more personalized service with me. This includes answering your questions before, during, and after our sessions via email, as well as making recommendations in the future when I find great resources. Your experience with me will not be a "One and Done!" I am vested in my clients, now and in the future. Hence, why I call them VIP experiences.
→ One of the reasons I've decided to focus on telehealth only, is because I'd like to offer my services to those who are in rural areas or areas with few providers. Also, I get to see my clients in their safe space where they are more relaxed. You are welcome to wear your comfy clothing, bring in your pet, weighted blankets, etc., during our sessions. I will also prepare you for each session beforehand so you know exactly what to expect and there are no surprises. For the autism/ADHD testing, it is more relaxed untimed testing and you can have loved ones present. However, some of the neuropsych testing does have stricter rules and nobody else should be with you in the same room - I will let you know beforehand about these.
→ Telehealth sessions are conducted online via Zoom, which is a secure HIPAA compliant platform. Please ensure a reliable internet connection and a quiet area in which to connect (coffee shops are not appropriate). Headphones/earbuds are helpful if you wish to tune out outside noise. Please contact me if you have any questions/concerns about using this platform.
→ Due to licensure rules, psychologists are only allowed to practice if they have permission in the state in which the client is located at time of contact. I can currently complete telehealth assessments for clients located in GA, NM, and all of the PSYPACT states (currently: AL, AZ, AR, CO, CNMI, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NC, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WV, WI & WY but please see https://psypact.org/page/psypactmap for updated information as new states are being added monthly). I can also do assessments in some other countries - please email to inquire.
