VIP Psychological Assessments
Please note all assessments are neuro-affirming and clients must be present in Georgia, New Mexico, or any of the PSYPACT states during all sessions (see last paragraph on this page or header at the top for list of states).
Toddler assessments are only for those 36 months and under as the instruments used for assessment don't go over that age. This assessment is a flat fee of $1444. The toddler assessment usually takes two sessions and looks like this:
I use a research-based telehealth protocol for autism that was developed at the Treatment and Research Institute at Vanderbilt University.
We schedule a 2-3-hour video conference appointment at a time that works for your family. During the visit, I will spend 30-45 minutes talking to you about what makes you think your child might be autistic, 30-45 minutes observing your child, and 30-45 minutes asking you follow-up questions to help me decide if an autism diagnosis might be the right fit.
Before the appointment, I will ask you to fill out some questionnaires. I will also ask you to share any previous testing your child has had related to their development. I will send you detailed instructions about what to expect during the appointment.
The appointment will take place at your home via telehealth. During the appointment, we will do three things:
-
I will administer the Tele-ASD-peds, a well-established tool for diagnosing autism via telehealth in young children. To do this, I will give you instructions on activities to do with your child and I will observe how they react. Learn more about the TELE-ASD-PEDS on the Vanderbilt website.
-
I will share my observations and ask you questions about your child’s behavior in other contexts.
-
We will then schedule a time to meet for a feedback session (#1 below).
After the appointment:
-
I will meet with you again to discuss what I found during the assessment. This can happen as soon as an hour after testing if that works for you (ideal if your toddler takes an afternoon nap!). If your child meets criteria for autism, I will tell you that. I will counsel you through next steps for intervention and support, even if I do not diagnose your child.
-
If your child is 24 months or older, I will complete the CARS-2, an additional tool that can be helpful for communicating information about an autism diagnosis to third parties (for example, schools, insurance companies).
-
Within two weeks, I will send you a clinical report which describes why I gave (or did not give) an autism diagnosis. I will also include personalized recommendations for next steps.
-
I will make myself available for brief email support to help you figure out the best available resources for your child and family.
For those who think they might be Autistic and/or an ADHDer, we schedule an initial intake after which we will know if further testing is warranted. If you decide to proceed with the testing, then there are three Adult Autism Assessment Packages (A, B, & C) available depending on your needs (ADHD testing can be included for no extra charge) OR two ADHD packages (A & D)(Autism screener can be included for no extra charge):
(1) Package A: Complete developmental/social history with assessment measures, as well as a feedback session plus a medical ID card and letters of diagnoses, accommodations, and recommendations. This package has NO write-up included (the write-up is basically your background info plus test results which I give you during feedback).
(2) Package B: Complete developmental/social history with assessment measures, as well as a feedback session with a summary (about 8 pages) of findings plus a medical ID card and letters of diagnoses, accommodations, and recommendations.
(3) Package C: All of the above, plus a more detailed lengthy report with more specific individualized test results, tables/graphs, and more integration about findings, particularly taking a strengths-based approach.
(3) Package D: For ADHD only, this is a more detailed report (usually 8-9 pages) with more specific individualized test results, tables/graphs, and more integration about findings, particularly taking a strengths-based approach.
THE ONLY DIFFERENCE AMONG THE PACKAGES IS THE WRITE-UP (none with package A, summary with package B, and full-length report with package C or D). ALL ELSE (including letters, recommendations, & ID) IS INCLUDED.
I consider these packages a VIP experience because I provide excellent communication during the process and am also available to my clients for follow up.
Please note that I am a neuro-affirming practitioner. All recommendations and reports reflect this positive, strengths-based approach with emphasis on lived experience taking priority over "professional" expertise.

→ Adult autism/ADHD assessment packages consists of three sessions. The initial session is the intake interview which can last up to an hour. This is followed by the assessment session, which can last up to 2 hours. In this session, we delve into social history, as well as using multiple collaborative assessment measures to assess diagnostic criteria. Finally, in the follow-up which is up to 30 minutes, we go over the results and discuss recommendations (followed by a report/summary if you pick packages B, C, or D).
The intake by itself is $444. If you proceed with testing, the price of the intake is included in the package price (e.g. package A would be $444 for the intake followed by $667 for the testing). All three sessions (intake, testing, feedback), as well as the letters & ID card, are included in all the packages. The ONLY difference is the write-up (none vs summary vs full length). ***FSA/HSA credit cards can be accepted. Please note that payment is due 24 hours before the intake and 48 hours before the testing.***
→ Package A, which has no write-up at the end, is currently priced at $1111 for autism + ADHD evals and $888 for solely ADHD (+autism screener) evals.
→ Package B, which includes a summary, is currently priced at $1555 for autism + ADHD evals.
→ Package C, which includes a detailed report, is currently priced at $2888 for autism + ADHD evals.
→ Package D, which includes a detailed report, is currently priced at $1444 for solely ADHD (+ autism screener) evals.
→ As part of these packages, your will gain a more personalized service with me. This includes answering your questions before, during, and after our sessions via email, as well as making recommendations in the future when I find great resources. Your experience with me will not be a "One and Done!" I am vested in my clients, now and in the future. Hence, why I call them VIP experiences.
→ The reason why these are among the few psychological services I offer is that I am passionate about neurodivergence, and particularly Autism! I trained in autism assessment in the 90s. My first introduction to autism was at Emory University, where I did family therapy and later worked as their Triage Coordinator. My additional trainings were also geared towards Autism, though I became very interested in the science behind neurodivergence so I focused on neuropsychology. Ironically, I had an autistic child after I graduated. Interestingly, after countless hours spent with clients with whom I completely resonated, I realized that I am also neurodivergent, being an ADHDer with sensory processing differences.
→ There is a vast shortage of experienced practitioners able to assess for autism and/or ADHD in adult women/genderqueer/trans- individuals, and waiting lists are months long in many places (because I am so niched and have a very flexible schedule, I can usually get clients in within 1-2 months). The reason I focus on these populations is because they are underserved and there is a lack of providers who can do an accurate, compassionate neuro-affirming assessment.
→ Please note that I have decades of experience in both ADHD and autism evaluations. In addition, I am a Certified Autism Specialist (yes, I agree the title is cringeworthy!) with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (www.ibcces.org) which requires at least 10 years of experience in the field, peer recommendations, an exam, plus 14 hours of autism continuing education for renewal.
→ One of the reasons I've decided to focus on telehealth only, is because I'd like to offer my services to those who are in rural areas or areas with few providers. Also, I get to see my clients in their safe space where they are more relaxed. You are welcome to wear your comfy clothing, bring in your pets, loved one, weighted blankets, etc., during our sessions. I will also prepare you for each session beforehand so you know exactly what to expect and there are no surprises.
→ Telehealth sessions are conducted online via Zoom, which is a secure HIPAA compliant platform. Please ensure a reliable internet connection and a quiet area in which to connect (coffee shops are not appropriate). Headphones/earbuds are helpful if you wish to tune out outside noise. Please contact me if you have any questions/concerns about using this platform.
→ Due to licensure rules, psychologists are only allowed to practice if they have permission in the state in which the client is located at time of contact. I can currently complete telehealth assessments for clients located in GA, NM, and all of the PSYPACT states (currently: AL, AZ, AR, CO, CNMI, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NC, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WV, WI & WY but please see https://psypact.org/page/psypactmap for updated information as new states are being added monthly).
