The Beauty of Joyful Living

Updated: Apr 1, 2021

Talk about a looong break :-) I’ve been busy working on my online signature program so had to take a long hiatus from blogging but I’m happy to be back!

Today, let’s talk about “Joyful Living.” I do offer personal coaching for this but that’s not why I’m bringing it up. I wanted to talk about what I actually mean by saying “Joyful Living” and what that looks like. Joyful living is finding joy in each moment you are alive, until it overwhelms the senses and takes over your being. This is my definition by the way!

It is living a life of purpose and intention, motivation and fulfillment. It is reclaiming your life and reducing and/or eliminating negative thoughts. Joyful living fills your life with purpose and helps your creativity flow. This joy spill over into all aspects of your life. You experience more calm and confidence and have more energy.

Consciously living a life of joy has you waking up feeling glad to be alive, excited and grateful to have another day to fulfill your own destiny. I love this quote by Thich Nhat Hanh which inadvertently led me to my own "joyful living":

“Waking up this morning, I smile. Twenty-four brand new hours are before me. I vow to live fully in each moment and to look at all beings with eyes of compassion.”

I know I’ve mentioned it before because it’s played such an important part in my own life. But this quote really summarizes for me, what it is to live a life full of joy, purpose, and passion.

It’s waking up each morning, full of zest and a fierce feeling of love for all the possibilities which lie in the next 24 hours.

It is a sense of impending excitement about all the new things you can create in the time which you are given and blessed with for that day.

It is adoring life, in all its beauty and strife…because there is joy to be found in each moment of being fully alive in this beautiful world.

It is an overwhelming feeling of being in love with life itself because you sense the Divine in each being of creation, whether human, animal or plant or sky, air, or water....

It is letting go of all expectations and living a life of true authenticity, and sharing that abundant, unconditional love inside of you with others.

What are you waiting for you, my friend? Are you ready to live joyfully?
