WOW! 3 Years later!

For some reason, I'm finding it so hard to believe that it's been three whole years since I wrote my last blog! Wow! When they say time flies fast, it's no joke :-) I'd like to start writing more regularly again but I make no promises. So I will just say that I will write when I feel like it! Let me begin by saying that in the last 3 years, a lot has happened - the most momentous is that the realization that I am an ADHDer (besides having sensory processing differences)! This has been so validating and affirming to me and it explained so many of my traits that I often felt shame or guilt around (e.g. impulsivity, being wordy, cutting people off while they were talking because I was so excited to share something, etc.,). It affirmed why I feel such a connection with my neurodivergent clients that goes beyond empathy into resonance. 🧡✨ This is also a reason why the neurodiversity (or neurodivergent) affirming paradigm has had such a huge impact on how I show up for myself, as well as my clients (for more info on this paradigm, please check out the Neurodiversity page). My assessments, reports, sessions, courses, workshops, books, and basically everything I do reflects this beautiful perspective. Understanding our neurotype leads to an understanding of why we do things the way we do that may not be widely acceptable in a neurotypical world and it allows us to accept that with grace and self-compassion. That is why I have chosen to embrace this paradigm wholeheartedly! I'm going to be writing a series of blog posts on this next topic on my coaching site but what I've also discovered over the past few years is that my truest, most authentic, heart-led passion lies at the intersection of neurodivergence and spirituality. 💫 As this topic is more suitable and relevant to my spiritually/energetically-based coaching, I will be writing on this at my coaching site if you want to check it out (quantumqun.com). I'll be back soon to talk more about things I've learned in the past few years, including sensory processing products, practical tips/apps for executive functioning support, and the latest research in autism/ADHD and other neurotypes.
